Landing at Fish River Canyon.
Approaching the landing strip. Yep its that little strip of dirt. It was nice having bush planes fly us from camp to camp. Sure saved a lot of time instead of driving.

All the comforts of home on the edge of a 900 foot cliff.
Fish river canyon chalets.
Great accomodations.
I stayed in the second to last chalet. Awesome views off my patio and a HUGE cliff. No stumbling around in the dark here!

Quiver Trees. AKA Kokaboom.
They reminded me of a Dr Suess illustrations.

Leaving fish river canyon, we did a fly over on our way to Luderitz.
There is a lot of uninhabited areas , and some interesting rock formations as we fly over the southern part of Namibia.
THis looked like and ancient volcano that has eroded away over the years. For a sense of scale you can just make out a string of power lines on the right of the picture.
As we approached Luderitz, the terrain became more and more sandy as we reach the outskirts of the Namib Desert.
A real Airport! lol one gate.
